RFR is a research collaborative which works with community-based organizations to facilitate research projects aimed at supporting popular education and organizing efforts.

RFR partners share expertise and build capacity among community organizers to conduct participatory research, legal, academic, and media research, and investigative research as an integral part of organizing projects, using an intersectional analysis incorporating analysis of power relations and social structures based on race, gender, gender identity and expression, class, immigration status, and sexual orientation.

RFR specializes in research relating to law enforcement and the criminal legal system, immigration, workers’ rights and violence against women
